wwudrama has announced audition dates for their May 2025 production of William Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor. Interested actors should visit the Canaday Technology Center Black Box Theatre on Tuesday, March 11, or Wednesday, March 12, between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Auditions are open to campus and community members.
Actors may bring headshots, but no prior acting experience is required. They will be asked to perform a provided monologue for their audition. Callbacks will take place on Thursday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre.
This grand conclusion to the 2024–2025 drama season will also be the first ever wwudrama production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Director Mark Raddatz called The Merry Wives of Windsor an unusual Shakespearean play: he said, “A true farce, it features not a single duke, soldier, king, or queen—just ordinary citizens being very funny.”
Performances will be held in Village Hall, 207 S. College Ave., College Place, on the following dates:
Saturday, May 10, at 9 p.m.
Sunday, May 11, at 7 p.m.
Thursday, May 15, at 7 p.m.
Saturday, May 17, at 9 p.m.
Sunday, May 18, at 7 p.m.
The Canaday Technology Center is located at 306 S.W. Fourth St., College Place.
