Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan service (ILL) is the service that provides Walla Walla University patrons the opportunity to borrow books and obtain copies of articles from libraries within the United States but outside of the Orbis Cascade Alliance (Summit libraries).

The purpose of interlibrary loan is to obtain materials that are not available at the Walla Walla University Libraries yet are needed for either course work or faculty research at Walla Walla University.

Notice of Arrival
When the material arrives, notice will be sent via email. Materials should be picked up at the Library Information Desk as promptly as possible, as they are checked out to your account as soon as they are processed. There is a $5.00 charge for unclaimed items.

Delivery Time
Arrival times vary, so be certain to allow plenty of time. Most returnable materials--such as books and DVDs--arrive 10-14 days from their official order date. Most articles arrive 1-3 days from their official order date. However, occasionally an interlibrary loan will take more than two weeks to arrive.

If you need materials more quickly than two weeks, please see a librarian for assistance in finding local materials to fit your needs.
