Our general studies honors program provides students with a group of interdisciplinary courses stressing independent research, writing, and discussion.

Study abroad

In partnership with Adventist Colleges Abroad (ACA) program, students can earn academic credit and complete a certain number of program requirements abroad. ACA offers a dozen study abroad locations where students are immersed in the language and culture of another country. Other study abroad programs are also available through the Humanities program for academically qualified students, including a program at Oxford University.

Internships

Internships and job shadowing integrate academic learning within a work environment. The Student Development Center helps students identify cooperative learning experiences that provide insight and experience related to their career. Students may even receive academic credit for prearranged work experience.

Study tours

Two traveling study tours are offered with academic credit available. The School of Theology facilitates a near-east Bible Lands study tour of significant Biblical sites. Additionally, the Department of English and the Department of History and Philosophy team up to sponsor an educational tour of the United Kingdom.
