New Hires and Position Changes

Please congratulate these employees on their new roles and enjoy the brief biographies they've shared.

Kiana Krumm, Volleyball Head Coach

I am looking forward to getting to know my athletes and running high-level practices! I can't wait to implement team bonding and emphasize the importance of being a well-rounded athlete, physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. My goals for this season are to win!

I started coaching club volleyball in 2019 and have since then coached athletes of all ages in both the United States and Europe. In 2020, I opened KD International Volleyball Academy, and we have grown to over 100 athletes who participate in private lessons, small groups, and camps. I played three seasons of professional Division I and II volleyball overseas in Argentina and Spain, as well as coached three 15-and-under teams in Spain. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from La Sierra University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Spanish.

Growing up, I played nearly every sport, but when I first picked up a volleyball, I fell in love! I started playing when I was 11 years old and played competitive club volleyball until I was 18. Along with playing indoor volleyball, I enjoy beach and grass doubles. Some of my favorite hobbies are going to the dog beach with my two giant dogs, Mia and Gio. We also love going hiking in the hills and mountains, and I enjoy swimming and weightlifting."

Alexander Selby, Power Plant Foreman for Facility Services

I look forward to learning more about maintaining and repairing the equipment that we have to keep the campus heated and cooled year-round.

I got my bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho in 2022, and I began working at WWU at the beginning of February. Since then, I've been training to take over the power plant on campus.

I grew up here in College Place with my mother, Melodie Williams. I enjoy miniature war-gaming and competing in timber sports shows in the summer."

McCloud Reynolds, Enterprise Software Engineer for IT

Being a graduate of Andrews University in 2008 in computing, and later earning a Master of Business Administration in 2011, I have been working as a Software Engineer for the last eight years, developing software for various companies around the world. With that experience, I am excited to share that knowledge with the University of Walla Walla.

I was born and raised on the island of Saint Lucia, where I was brought up as an Adventist. I love sports, whether it be basketball, football (soccer), table tennis, or cricket, to name a few. I am married to my beautiful wife, Carita, and have two precious little girls: Arielle, who is 2 years old, and Annalee, who is 7 months old."

Joanna Nelson, Associate Director for CHE

I am looking forward to contributing to the growth and sustainability of CHE through building and nurturing relationships with other non-profit organizations, churches, community organizations, and our students. Using my unique background and experience to support and mentor students, helping them achieve their goals, realize their potential, and embrace God's plan for their futures. Additionally, I would like to secure additional funding for CHE through grant and donor opportunities while supporting the vision of CHE's director. I will also have the privilege of occasionally teaching in the School of Business.

I currently own Vulcan Consulting & Grant Services, a business focused on helping nonprofits achieve their mission and fundraising/development goals, specializing in grant funding. Before starting my company, I managed the grant department for Loma Linda University Health. My business has been blessed to serve clients from all over the U.S., and a couple from India and Rwanda. I have an undergraduate degree in English with an emphasis in Professional Writing and Rhetoric (a.k.a. Technical Writing), and Math. I also have a master’s degree in Business Administration. I am in my 3rd year of teaching in the School of Business for Pacific Union College, teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses. I began teaching as a side job/hobby, and I completely fell in love with it. But my finest qualification is that I had 5 teenagers at the same time and survived. The middle three boys are the same age, and I am one of the rare humans who has witnessed what a Biblical plague of locusts might have looked like after each time I returned from Costco. My children WERE my greatest joy, but the last four years have brought us grand-babies, and my allegiance has joyfully and beautifully shifted. Children are definitely God's gift, but grand-babies are the ROI that you never saw coming!

My wonderful and amazing husband, Darnell, and I are classmates from UCA. Both of our extended families are in the PNW. I lived in M-F and attended Stateline, Rogers, and WWVA as a youngster, and I was born in Walla Walla. I have a great adoption story (personally), and I continued the tradition by adopting two boys in addition to my 3 bio kids. God's sense of humor (which I love) saw fit to bring me two boys almost the exact age as my son, giving me all the joys of triplets. I am an incurable Star Trek fan, and I love most theme parks. Our children are all grown, so we naturally filled the void with extremely spoiled pups. We have a Great Dane, Bambi, and a portable purse-sized Yorkie-Poo, Pixie. We love to swim and be outside, and we're looking forward to new adventures in Walla Walla.
