Student Learning Outcomes

Statement of Mission 
The mission of the Walla Walla University School of Theology is to prepare students for ministry and to foster thoughtful and active engagement in the Christian faith from a Seventh-day Adventist perspective.  Religious education at WWU emphasizes Biblical knowledge, worship, and service directed toward religious, social, and moral transformation.  All students are encouraged to deepen their faith in God and share the gospel of His love to others while awaiting Christ's return. 

Student Learning Outcomes: 

  1. Students will demonstrate a broad knowledge of the Bible and acquire the skills of interpretation and application.  
  2. Students will understand the distinctive history and significance of Seventh-day Adventism and its contributions to the wider world. 
  3. Students will develop the ability to analyze and articulate theological concepts. 
  4. Students will grow in their relationship with Christ and share in the proclamation of the gospel. 
  5. Students will cultivate ethical values and spiritual maturity for effective service for others.
