We understand that pursuing a teaching career is both a passion and a commitment. That's why our flexible online courses allow you to study at your own pace, giving you the freedom to balance your personal and professional responsibilities while working towards your Adventist Teacher Certification. Each course is designed to be completed at your own pace around your busy school schedule within a six-month timeframe.
Adventist Teacher Certification is issued through each union education office following North American Division requirements documented in the Educators’ Certification Manual. Your individual requirements are summarized in your Teacher Status Report, which may be obtained from your local union education office. Using the requirements provided in your Teacher Status Report, Walla Walla University School of Education and Psychology advisors will help you select the courses you need to meet your goals.
Requirements and helpful information
- You must be a current teacher with classroom access to support job-embedded coursework.
- You must submit a verification letter from your conference superintendent stating that you are under contract.
- Tuition is $150/credit.
- Depending on your situation, additional courses may be needed to obtain Adventist Teacher Certification.
- Textbooks are required; students can choose where to source them.
