Each course is designed to be completed at your own pace within six months.

SDA Teacher Certification is issued through each Union Education Office following the NAD Denominational Teaching Certificates manual

The Seventh-Day Adventist School System offers denominational teacher credentials in three levels of certificates: Basic, Standard, and Professional. Basic credential for teaching in Seventh-day Adventist church schools is issued through each Union Education Office in the North American Division. Requirements for the credential may be obtained through the Union Education office for the region in which you reside. Additional coursework may be needed. Refer to the Educators’ Certification Manual.

Requirements and helpful information

  • Must be a current teacher with classroom access to support job-embedded coursework.
  • Obtain and submit a verification letter from the conference superintendent that you are under contract.
  • $150/credit
  • Additional courses may be needed to obtain SDA denominational certification
  • Textbooks may be required, students can choose where to source them
