Interlibrary Loan Lending (Non-Walla Walla University Users)
Through interlibrary loan, non-Walla Walla University libraries may gain access to most of the items held within our main collection. Walla Walla University Library is a member of NAPCU and LVIS and lends to libraries located within the United States.
Note: Member libraries of the Orbis Cascade Alliance should strongly encourage their patrons to utilize Summit Borrowing. To access and order materials from the Summit catalog please use your local Primo.
Items Available for Loan
With some exceptions, items located within the general collection of our main library are available for loan. Within our main library, we will not lend A/V materials, reference books, or entire periodical issues. Collections from our branch campuses (Portland Nursing Campus, Montana Campuses, Rosario) and the special libraries located on our main campus (Career Center, Curriculum Library, English Department, History Resource Center, and Music Library) are not available for interlibrary loan.
Books have a loan period of seven weeks and renewals are not given.
Books are generally sent via USPS (Library Rate); alternatively, article copies are generally sent via OCLC Article Exchange or email. We are a free lender, but replacement/damage fees are $90 and we do not accept replacement copies. Articles over 30 pages in length are $5.
Accepted request methods are ALA forms and OCLC requests. ALA forms may be sent via email, mail, or fax. However, the preferred request method is through OCLC.
