Student Learning Outcomes

Mission Statement: We endeavor to stimulate critical thinking and creative expression, enhance language and cultural sensitivity, and help students connect educational, career, and life goals. Students will be prepared to enter careers or pursue graduate studies that will use their talents to understand, speak, read, write, and communicate through a variety of media, becoming effective and articulate Christian communicators. 

Student Learning Outcomes: Students graduating with a major in Communication will: 

1. Demonstrate knowledge of communication concepts and principles
2. Produce effective messages appropriate to audience, purpose, and context
3. Create effective communication products (written, visual, and spoken) across multiple media platforms
4. Apply ethical communication principles and practices
5. Expand opportunities for research and graduate education
