More Ways to Give
Recurring Gift — This allows you to budget your gift while providing WWU a sustained support. On the secure online Gift Form, choose “Recurring Monthly Gift”. You will be able to stop it at anytime.
Endowment Gifts (In Memory/Honor) — Endowments are gifts that keep on giving. They provide a permanent and secure source of income for the university. Most WWU endowments have been established specifically to benefit student aid, in memory of family members, or to honor other special people. With endowments, funds are invested for long-term growth. Only interest from the fund’s principal is spent on the designated purpose; the principal itself is not spent. The interest earnings may also be reverted back to the principal. An endowment may be established with a gift or gifts totaling $25,000 or more. A gift of any size may be given to an existing endowment. For more information, visit our Gift Planning website.
Legacy Gift — For more information, please visit our Gift Planning website . You can also contact our Director for Gift Planning at (509) 227-2646 or via email at dorita.tessier@wallawalla.edu.
Gift-in-Kind — Non-cash gifts provide the satisfaction of supporting an area of your interest and in some cases, provide you with tax benefits that can actually increase after-tax income. To submit your gift, please fill in this Gift-in-Kind Form. Most gifts-in-kind will be counted at full market value. Gifts of equipment, including but not limited to computers, software, and laboratory/technical equipment, will be counted at the educational discount value. Prior to accepting a gift-in-kind, Walla Walla University will review it to establish missional value, potential additional costs to support the gift, or other conditions that will require university attention. The university reserves the right to refuse gifts that do not satisfy the university's missions, strategic initiatives, or existing resources. For more information, please contact our Gift Manager at (509) 527-2095.
Gift of stocks — When you donate appreciated securities, including stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares that you have held for more 12 months, you can reduce or even eliminate federal capital gains taxes on the transfer. You may also be entitled to a federal income tax charitable deduction based on the fair market value of the securities at the time of the transfer. If you aren’t ready to give up these assets during your lifetime, a gift of securities through your will or living trust allows you the flexibility to change your mind at any time. You can continue to receive dividends and participate in shareholder votes, and the securities are still yours if you need them for other expenses.
Your gifts make a difference.
We are so grateful for your support
